Installed in the historic Brighton Block building, once home to the studio of turn of the century photographer, Ernest Brown, Artists in the Fallow is an artist run pop up exhibition featuring around 25 local artists working in a variety of practices. This exhibition opens as local restrictions lift, presenting work that was conceived during the isolation of the past year and a half.
I am showing five paintings that were made over the course of grad school. Each piece has a connection to the prairies, from stalks of wheat, soft yellows, to a yearning for place.
